Believe me friends.It was one of the toughest decision I ever made in my life.. Being there and still not there..It does hurt.. deep down there..IIT is IIT..It hurts whenever someone asks you"which college are you doing your engineering from??"..I would have loved to say IIT and see the spark in the other person's eye and see the sudden change inn his attitude and observe the respect the person starts givin me..but but but...career alwayz dominates over your ego.I would have loved to fancy my ego but some thing are better left undone....
Got thru JEE 2000 Why did I leave it? - Cos wanted to do engg in CS or EC and with my rank in JEE, couldnt have got anything more than M.Sc(Mathematics and Computing)or Civil or Meta. So ditched it Did I make the right decision? - Absolutely!! no second thoughts about that. Agreed that saying that u r from IIT does get u an immediate respect - but then, I am happy with what I did. and I do still manage to get a part of that respect when I tell people about the company I work with :)
