IITians basically have a research attitude and that make a BIG difference when compared with non-IITians. But if proper circumstances are given to non-IITians then they too can develop this skill.
IITian speaking. Not always, but generally yes. Generally IITians are placed in same company as non-IITians with higher salaries. However this is just the initial placement. If you are talented enough, you could be bossing IITians withing 2 years.
hey anonymous (IITian speaking...) - I differ from you. I agree that there are few companies that take both IITians and non-IITians and offer a differential package. But I think most of the companies fall in the other lot, where they pay the same package, irrespective of the college u come from.
That said, I agree that a company that has a handsome offer may have more IITians than non-IITians.

not necessarily , but mostly yes..however, others can come up quickly too.
